COURSE DESCRIPTION
During this workshop Rory will present aspects from the ‘Buddhist Wheel of Life’ and its links to Western Psychological thinking.
From a Buddhist perspective we will look at five of the realms on the Wheel of Life: The Human Realm, the Hell Realm, the Realm of the Hungry Ghosts, the Realm of the Jealous Gods and the Animal Realm.
These realms are metaphors of the human experience as opposed to belief systems and fixed views.
From a Western Psychological perspective we will touch into the work of theorists such as D W Winnicott, John Bowlby, Freud and Daniel Stern.
The workshop will contain teaching, discussion, dialogue and meditation.
