CMBE's approach to consultancy is based around the principles of ‘Communication', 'Productivity', and 'Shared Purpose’. These link closely to the three foundations of human development and growth:

  • Insight: clear understanding through support and direction.
  • Community: the friendship and encouragement of others.
Such a scheme is, in turn, based upon certain core principles underpinning the Buddhist monastic community, an institution which has thrived for over 2,500 years as an unbroken and continuous lineage. If you reflect on this in terms of the longevity of most other organisations, this is a remarkable feat.

Such a feat is not through luck or accident; it is because the legal and ethical framework that governs the system is logical, precise, supportive, and not guilt-inducing. It invites a common purpose and shared integrity.

Obviously the exact Buddhist monastic framework is not suitable for commercial organisations. But the principles behind the system are.
